Siemens ES75 EDGE GSM Modem
Introduction
The ES75 is the modem with MC75 the first GSM/GPRS radio module featuring EDGE technology, which is currently the fastest data transfer standard in worldwide GSM networks.
The ES75 is fully supported by the ActiveXperts SMS and MMS Toolkit software.

Hardware
The ES75 is the modem with MC75 the first GSM/GPRS radio module featuring EDGE technology, which is currently the fastest data transfer standard in worldwide GSM networks. EDGE (“Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution”) allows downloads and streaming of data-intensive multimedia files, exchange of email attachments and fast internet or intranet access.
Thanks to EDGE, users can easily conduct their business activities on the Internet or on the company intranet. EDGE can be done three times faster than when using GPRS; EDGE theoretically has a maximum bit rate of 474 kbps compared to GPRS with 171 kbps.

Accessories
Terminal Power Supply
The TC35iT power supply is a 220V supply intended to provide a simple solution for office-based equipment. The power supply is provided with a mains lead and power connector for direct connection to the TC35i Terminal.
Antennas
Available in two lengths - 7cm or 10cm - this antenna plugs directly into a TC35iT or MC35iT.
Other versions are available with elbow which will bend to 0°, 45° or 90°. Part number MC0114031 (FME connector) or MC0114031-SMA (SMA connector)
Bulkhead Antenna Assembly
This part allows a screw-in antenna to be fitted to applications using the TC35i or MC35i modules. The cable assembly is terminated in a GSC connector for direct fitting to the module. The antenna is 900MHz/1800MHz dual band.
A GSC to SMA and a GSC to FME are available to connect from a TC35i or MC35i, through the bulkhead.
SIM Card Holders
Several SIM card holders are approved for use with the TC35i/MC35i. They include a 'Big SIM Holder', for credit card sized SIMs, a flip-up type and a tray type.
Mini SIM card holder can be used with small SIM-cards in mobile phones. It can be situated behind the battery pack. This card is specially designed for solderless mounting.
Software
ActiveXperts SMS and MMS Toolkit is an ActiveX/COM component (i.e. an SDK), and provides SMS and Pager messaging functionality.
With this Toolkit, you can send and receive SMS messages via: a GSM modem, a GSM phone, an SMPP compliant SMSC provider or a Hayes compatible modem (using a TAP/XIO provider). It supports paging, either using the SNPP network protocol, or using DTMF dialing using a modem.
Samples are provided for Visual Basic .NET, Visual C# .NET (CSharp), Visual Basic, Visual C++ (Visual Studio VC++), ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, Delphi and VBScript.
