Novatel Expedite EU850D 7.2 Mbps PCI Express Mini Card Embedded Module with SIM
Introduction
The patent-pending Expedite EU850D PCI Express Mini Card, with an integrated SIM holder, can be embedded into laptops and other devices for 3G mobile data applications. The OEM host industrial design is free of SIM slot and wiring constraints with the EU850D. Powered by the Qualcomm® MSM6280 diversity and equalizer chipset, offers high performance to the user and operates globally on 850, 1900, and 2100 MHz bands on HSDPA and UMTS networks.
This module, optimized for Europe, has diversity on the 850 and 2100 MHz bands on HSDPA and UMTS networks.
This module works in Europe, North American, Japan, Australia and other regions around the globe for the supported bands*. The compact, flexible design with integrated SIM allows OEMs to empower their mobile offerings with 3G mobile data applications. Users will now be able to enjoy the maximum performance possible, regardless of radio conditions or movement in and out of buildings due to the inclusion of the diversity and equalizer advanced receiver technologies, while OEMs are relieved of SIM slot and wiring constraints for expedited integration. Network operators will also derive benefit from lowered demands on their network while delivering higher throughput performance and increasing network capacity and exclusivity.

Software
ActiveXperts SMS and MMS Toolkit is an ActiveX/COM component (i.e. an SDK), and provides SMS and Pager messaging functionality.
With this Toolkit, you can send and receive SMS messages via: a GSM modem, a GSM phone, an SMPP compliant SMSC provider or a Hayes compatible modem (using a TAP/XIO provider). It supports paging, either using the SNPP network protocol, or using DTMF dialing using a modem.
Samples are provided for Visual Basic .NET, Visual C# .NET (CSharp), Visual Basic, Visual C++ (Visual Studio VC++), ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, Delphi and VBScript.
